ATHENS, GA. (September 26, 2011) – Comprent Motor Sports is excited to announce it is adding a championship-winning racer to its Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Championship driver line-up for the Petit Le Mans season-finale doubleheader. Sean Rayhall, the 2010 SCCA Pro Racing Formula Enterprises Series champion, will make his pro sports racer debut at Road Atlanta on September 29-30, reuniting with the Georgia-based team as part of a SCCA Enterprises initiative.

Comprent Motor Sports has a long history of working with talented racers, in both the junior formula car and sports racer ranks, and that trend will continue when the chase for the 2011 Prototype Lites Championship concludes with Rounds 13 & 14 at Road Atlanta. Thanks in large part to a sponsorship program by SCCA Enterprises to support its pro champions, Rayhall will get behind the wheel of the No. 77 SCCA Enterprises/Comprent Motors Sports Elan DP02 for the season-finale in Georgia. The Petit Le Mans event doubleheader will mark a reunion between Rayhall and Comprent Motor Sports, as the 16 year-old captured the SCCA Pro Racing Formula Enterprises Series title last season with the Georgia team, becoming the youngest SCCA Pro Racing champion in history.

Sean Rayhall Makes Stock Car Debut

WINSTON, Ga. -- Sean Rayhall has already made a career out of setting records and moving up the racing ranks quickly. He continued this trend this past weekend when Sean traveled to New Smyrna Speedway for the opening round of the USAR Pro Cup series, which consists of previous years Nationwide and ARCA cars.

During the first cup series practice Sean consistently ran times in the top ten, and when qualifying began he posted a lap consistent with how well he had been running, placing him in eleventh position for the feature race. From the beginning of the race Sean methodically worked his way to the front of the field, passing by cars left and right. By lap 184 Sean had moved into third position and eventually moved his way up into second. After a hard fought battle Sean had ended his first Stock Car race in third position.

“I am very happy with my debut in the series,” commented Rayhall. “We exceeded our expectations and I owe it all to Kirk May and Josh Mcoy of Kirk May Racing. I am looking forward to more races in the series and going after my first win.”

Sean would like to thank all of his sponsors for making this past weekend happen along with Doug Stevens for being an excellent spotter and Jack Baldwin for his coaching.
